Olive Lee Grayson was born on October 21, 1914, to Ambrose Franklin and Charlotte Cromwell Revels, in Kirkersville, Ohio. She made her transition to glory on December 29, 2016 at the age of 102.
The family moved to Columbus, Ohio when she was a young child. She was educated through the Columbus Public Schools System and later continued her education through a correspondence course and received an associate degree.
On July 23, 1940 she married the love of her life, Myron Albert Grayson. The Graysons were very dear friends to District Elder Ernest and Sister Bertha Hardy. They were attendants in each other's weddings. She was employed by Madison's Department store as an elevator operator for many years.
Sister Grayson had a love for the Lord that began in 1931. She was baptized in the Name of Jesus and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith under the pastorate of the late Bishop Karl F. Smith when the church was located at the corner of Collins and Pennsylvania Avenues. She served as a Sunday School teacher in the Adult Department for 75 years. She also had a concern for the young people and at times would tarry for the Holy Ghost with them in her home. There, souls were saved including Lady Marcia Gaiters. Sister Grayson served at the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith under the Pastorates of Bishop Karl F. Smith, District Elder Ernest L. Hardy and Sf. Bishop Eugene Lundy. She enjoyed attending church and being among the saints, which she did faithfully until approximately age 92 when her health began to fail. She also liked to entertain the saints in her home
Sister Grayson is predeceased by her loving husband, Myron A. Grayson; parents, Ambrose and Charlotte Revels; sisters, Leona Mae, Lyda Mae, and Marjorie Francis; and a kind and loving nephew, Howard Watkins. She leaves to cherish her memory cousins, Beverly Harris, Sheila Baxton, and Joyce Douglas; special friends, Evangelist Carol Merrill, Sisters Linda Wright, Gena Moore, and Crystal Byrd who were like daughters to her; and her church family.
Service will be held in the indoor Mausoleum Chapel at Green Lawn Cemetery.
