

Patricia Kaye (Johnson) Gatsch, age 90, a 56 year resident of Upper Arlington, OH and resident of the First Community Village, passed away in her sleep on November 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norman Edward Gatsch, Jr. Pat was born December 31, 1926 in Olathe, Kansas on her grandparents’ farm on Lone Elm Road to the late Myron Earnest and Edith Loree (Kelly) Johnson. She was a 1944 graduate of Grandview Heights High School. Attended Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University and U.C.L.A. She was a 75 year member of First Community Church, a Trading Post Volunteer for more than 30 years, and active with her husband in Couple Circle. A 70 year member of PEO, Chapter BX. She is survived by her children, Ted S. (Darlene) Gatsch of Big Sandy, TX and Kathryn L. “Katie” (Steven) Lown of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren, Brian (Vanessa) Gatsch, Daniel Gatsch, Patrick (Raynee) Lown, Maxton Lown and Larissa “Lacey” (Matt) Handford; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Aelyn, Seamus, Rory and Devlynn Gatsch; brother-in-laws Paul Gatsch and John C. Fisher III (Carpinteria, CA); sister-in-laws, Claire Gatsch and Martha Johnson; 16 nieces and nephews. Also proceeded in death by her sister Jo Ann Fisher (Carpinteria, CA) and brothers Loren Gale Johnson and Neil Dean Johnson; brother-in-law Robert H. Gatsch; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Johnson and Barbara Gatsch and daughter-in-law, Barbara Day Gatsch (Mt. Pleasant, TX). Memorial services will be held FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8TH at 1:30PM at First Community Church North Campus, 3777 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. The Reverend James Long will preside. There will be a Reflection Reception immediately following the service. A family burial will be held the following day at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
