

Patrick G. Burns, 66, formerly of Upper Arlington, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Patrick was born October 24, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio. He retired as President of Steffen-Schultz, Inc. Patrick was an avid gardener, boater, and member of the Blackwing Shooting Center. He was a member of the South Gate-Potter Masonic Lodge # 692, Scottish Rite and former member of Columbus Rotary. Patrick enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play ice hockey. Patrick loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren with whom he shared so many special memories. He was preceded in death by his father, John Burns; mother, Annabelle Burns Boggs; stepfather Raymond Boggs; and sister, Sharon Brown. Patrick will be missed by his wife of 30 years, Patricia; children, Erin (John) Paider, and Brett Kittle; grandchildren, Colton, Mason, and Campbell Paider; niece, Theresa Moran; nephew, Troy Brown; many cousins and friends; and his loyal lab, Aunu. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Friday, August 27, 2010 at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, Ohio. Rev. Deborah Lindsay will officiate. Private burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patrick’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
