Paul Richard Uhrig

Favorably known as Paul Baby, Flattop, Dad and Grandpa, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 9, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio he was the son of the late Lawrence and Myrtle Uhrig; sister, Mary Jane Williams; and brother, Donald Uhrig.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lou Ann; daughters, Jeri (Michael) Nauman, Beverly (Richard) Williams; son Richard (Terri) Uhrig; eight grandchildren, Christine, Pam, Paul, Meggie, Clint, Travis, Robert, Amanda; twelve great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley, Brittany, Taylor, Madison, Lauren, Christian, Landon, Allison, Lucas, Graham and Elliott.

For 70 years Paul was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 24/98 Union. For many of those years he worked for Kirk Williams Company and served as a union officer and an officer of the Retiree Club. In addition to this he was a 32nd degree Mason.

Paul was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He loved to dance and enjoyed watching and playing golf, bowling, playing cards and doing anything else that involved using his hands.

The family thanks Kindred Hospice, especially Amy Spridgeon, Rick Elmore, Olumide Oyelana and Sharry Baker for the loving care they gave.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Family will receive friends Friday, August 13, 2021, from 5-8pm at Schoedinger North Funeral Home, 5554 Karl Road. The funeral service will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 14, 2021. Interment to follow in procession at Forest Lawn Memory Garden.
