

Phillip E. Lutz, age 64, of Grove City, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011. He was born January 20, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to the late Glenn and Jane (Myers) Lutz. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1970. He was a member of both the undergraduate and graduate chapters of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Xi Chapter, since 1968. Phil worked as a pharmacist for over 40 years in Columbus and Grove City during which time he proudly served as a preceptor to many pharmacy interns and externs. Phil was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns and always looked forward to “poker night” with his buddies. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Wilma J. (Vargo) Lutz; brother, Tim (Ginger) Lutz; brother-in-law, Aaron (Holly) Vargo; nephews, Allen (Heather) Lutz and Matthew Lutz; nieces, Erica (Rob) Minnich, Christin Vargo and Alison Vargo; other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Susan, and his 3 special buddies, Benjamin, Zachary and Oscar. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 E. Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where a service will begin at 7:30 pm; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant. Graveside service 12pm Thursday at Greentown Cemetery, Greentown, Ohio.
