Lit a candle in memory of Phillip E. Lutz

Wilma, I just want to express my sincere condolences to you.  Phil has been in my life one way or another as long as I can remember.  I met both of you when I was younger at Dick and Sue’s house and saw how much you both meant to them. Years later, I was privileged to be asked to play poker with Phil and the guys and enjoyed those evenings tremendously. With life changes, I missed years of poker, but became reacquainted with Phil when I moved to Grove City almost 13 years ago.  Phil was first and foremost, a wonderfual person. He was also an excellent pharmacist and always made time to talk to me or my wife, Kelli, when we were at his pharmacy.  I was recently invited back to the poker games and was able to attend several this year.  I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Phil and will miss him greatly as I am sure the rest of the world will miss him, too.

Wilma, Phil was a wonderful man... I worked with him as a technician at cvs. In the time i knew him...he never had a negative thing to say about anybody,and he always had a smile on his face.He was the best pharmacist I have ever worked with.  The man simply had a heart of gold. I am truely sorry for your loss. Just remember we hold the ones we love and lost not only in our memory but in our hearts!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Phil was always such a gentleman and such a gentle soul. Wilma, the two of you were there when I needed someone the most. You both hold very dear places in my heart. May God grant you peace during this difficult time. Love and many prayers, Beth Turney

Wilma, Phil is a kindred spirit who helped many patients in his lifetime.  I developed great respect for him in the short time I had the privilege of knowing him.  He will be missed greatly but his legacy lives on in the lives that he touched.

Wilma- Bill and I are so sorry for your loss of Phil.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  We remember Phil as a light hearted spirit who always had a calming effect on people.  His great sense of humor and caring manner definitely made him a special person. I also remember how Phil, Wilma, and Grandma Jane always had something fun for us to do when we visited. I also remember Phil had the largest movie collection I had ever seen at the time, and spending every year at the New Years parties. Wilma, I like my sister regret losing touch as we grew older and I am very glad I got to see Phil at the last poker party at my dads. He was a wonderful man and will be missed greatly. I am sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul.

I remember he always let me turn his mustache down the wrong way, it drove him crazy but he let me do it all the time and we would laugh.

I wanted to say sorry to you for the loss of your husband. My mom told me alot about him, he was fun to meet and was lots of laughs. I know he was a great friend to my grandpa. I am thinking of you today-Lorenzo Cline

I have been blessed to have Phil as my godfather. I can't put into words how much he and Wilma meant to me growing up. I regret greatly that we grew apart throughout my adulthood. i was very thankful that my oldest son got to spend some time together with him and the guys ploaying poker this summer. He was always supportive and a gentle soul, I always could tell in his eyes how much he loved our family. I have not one bad memory of him, I also know how much he meant to my father, I dont think there is anyone that he felt closer to when i was a child. Wilma please know how much you both meant to me throughout my life, I wish I would have told him that one more time... I truly love and appreciate your heart. Laura Cline

I was introduced to Phil by his wonderful Mother Jane when I worked with her at Kmart in Grove City many years ago.  He was always very kind and considerate and just an all round good person.  There was no mistaking Phil with his handlebar mustache and big smile.  My sincere condolences to his family.

Phil was always such a good friend to my dad, and I know it meant a lot to my dad to have someone he could turn to like Phil. He'll be greatly missed. Too many memories for me to keep track....My most favorites? I had my first legal drink (a martini) at Gotleibs with Phil. the waitress didnt ask me for my ID so Phil politely says "I think you need to ask this young lady for her ID" so she smiled and asked me for it!...When I asked him if/when I get married if he would walk me down the aisle, he accepted.  And all the many many memories of Big Bear and Jolly pirates, and Tim Hortons in the mornings....Walking in with his stetson hat, and brief case in hand. I Love you Phil, You will be sadly missed. I think I will have a Long Island Iced Tea in your honor.....until we meet again my friend.
