

Phyllis Ruth Crandall, age 86, of Columbus, died Monday, January 26, 2026 with family by her side. She was born in Sheridan , WY, on October 27, 1939, to the late Sydney Harold and Loraine Catherine Rice.
She is survived by sons; Timothy (Lauren) Crandall, and Anthony (Angie) Crandall, grandchildren; Lizzie Crandall, Shea Crandall, and Samuel Crandall, brother, George (Sally) Rice, sister, Constance Siemer, brothers-in-laws; James (Sue) Crandall, Jeffrey (Janet) Crandall, Stephen (Sheryl) Crandall, and Bob Burch, nieces; Bettina Burch, Mishelle Dicken, Tricia Dicken, and Melissa Brandao, and nephew, Rob Burch, as well as other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 60 years, Gerald F. Crandall, sisters; Nell Dicken and Mary Burch and brother-in-laws; Larry Siemer and Clarence Dicken.
Phyllis graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She worked for John Gerlach & Company as an Office Manager and later worked for Tri-Rivers Career Center as a Business Education Administrator. A faithful member of the Christian Science Church for 60 years. She was on the Board at Glenmont for many years. Family meant everything to Phyllis, and she cherished the time she spent with her loved ones. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching and traveling to Canada to hike and fish. Phyllis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:30PM Friday, February 13, 2026, at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 1:00PM-2:30PM Friday.
