Ray Lumbert

Ray Lumbert Sr., age 85 of London Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Summerville at Pinnacle. He was born December 29, 1924 to the late Raymond and Mona Lumbert. Ray is also preceded in death by his sister, Helen May Lumbert; half brother, Charles Schoonover; and grandson, Danny Ray Lumbert. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Norma Jeanne; son Ray (Diane) Lumbert, Jr.; daughters Linda Dianne (Jay) Hart and Loran Joyce (Mike) Toney; grandchildren Michael Toney, Erryn Rhoden, Julie Ann Lumbert and Nicholas Lumbert; great grandchildren, Maissey Rhoden, Xane Rhoden, Aislyn Rhoden, Morgan Toney, Amy Toney and Bella Valiencia. Ray retired after 30 years of service for the City of Columbus, Division of Engineering and Construction. He was a master carpenter who loved making and sharing his projects with family members. He was an avid gardener and had many different collections. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 w. BROAD St. where the funeral service to honor Ray’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday.
