

Raymond Eugene Paprocki, age 90, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born on July 4, 1930 in Steubenville, OH to the late Stanley and Eleanore Paprocki. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force for a brief time. He was a retired mechanic from TWA with 41 years of service, and served as a union steward at one time. Ray was a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed cooking (and eating), gardening, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy O'Donnell; siblings, Stanley, Teresa and Barney Paprocki, Alma Zilken, Lucy Muenze, brother-in-law, Andy Snyder. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Shirley (Butler) Paprocki; son, Ray (Sherry Beck) Paprocki; brother, Cas (Cathy) Paprocki; sister, Pauline Snyder; five grandchildren, Justin Paprocki (Sarah Demaree); Evan (Janae) Holmes; Ana (Teddy) Piper; Ryan Holmes (Haygen Mowder); Patrick (Sarina) O’Donnell. Seven great-grandchildren Benjamin and Elizabeth Demaree Paprocki; Alexander and Caroline Holmes; Griffin Piper; Rory Ann Holmes; Sebastian O’Donnell. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cindy O'Donnell Foundation, (cindyofoundation.org), a 501c3 nonprofit organization driven to support families in the Ohio Valley struck with illness and tragedy in hope of providing a better future for those affected by circumstance.
