Lit a candle in memory of Rhonda Lee Wade

I have known Rhonda since 7th grade and was one of my best friends.  Last time I seen her, i took her one of her beloved whoppers and fries at the nursing home. We had a good conversation and she had not lost her sense of humor. We talked about the good old days in band, trips to dairy queen and I was showing her pics of people we graduated with that was on facebook.  She told me Jonathan would come to see her and she would get a cockeyed grin when I teased her about it.  I was so happy to have found her again, to only lose her once more.  Heaven has gained another angel.  I will miss you Rhonda.

I just spoke with Rhonda a couple days before her death. She squeezed my hand. She asked me if I was going to be ok without her. She kind of knew she was going to die soon. She told me that I did not deserve a person like her and I told her that I loved her and was committed to her to the very end. I watched a peace come over her eyes. She held onto my hand. 

Rhonda was a Christian; she told me that she looked forward to going to heaven and meeting her mother. I know one day I will see her again. I am a Christian too. 

I think Rhonda would want her family to know... that it is important to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She is in heaven now; she is pain free. And she has a new heavenly body. For those who are Christian; it is not like we will not see her again. I think this was her time. We prayed about this event together. Rhonda died peacefully in her sleep. She was ready to go home.

Rhonda was always very fine to me, supportive, intelligent, kind, open-minded, conversational, trusting, giving, just a great lady!  I can't think of a bad word to say about her.  I was thinking of her lately and wished I'd come up to see her more often.

I last visited Rhonda at Eastland Care Center near Westerville, OH, on Mothers Day, 2012.  She was in good spirits then.  I've known Rhonda since 1982 or 83 and she was always there for me.  I miss her warm open heart, intelligent conversation and her talent for music.  May God rest her soul!
