I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father Dick. I knew him for a short time through the Premier at Sawmill. He was liked by many and always had a smile and was full of positive energy.

Dick was such a gentleman and kind person.  When I think of him back in our school days and at classreunions, it’s always seeing him with a big smile and chuckle, and always with a kind word of greeting. I can’t imagine him speaking Ill of any one he knew as a friend.  I’m grateful to have known him as a classmate at Grandview and called him a friend. His loving spirit was a blessing to all whose lives he touched.

First met Dick and Rosie when I moved into Carriage Hill..to manage it..right next to their neighborhood. They were friends of Maureen and Don Christopher..who then became friends of mine...Such great people..Dick was always happy and always had a good word for anyone..RIP Dick...you will be missed. !

I was very fortunate to go on vacations with Dick, Rosie and Craig...We went to Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati and stayed the night in a hotel with an indoor pool when we were in Junior High a couple of times.  That's when I fell in love with Montgomery Inn's ribs. But my fondest memory was when we went to Siesta Key for spring break as Sophomores and we stayed in a condo right on the beach.  That's when I fell in love with Key Lime pie.  Dick loved watching Craig play baseball and was so proud when they won the State Championship for the first time at Upper Arlington.  I spent most of my teenage years at the Abb's house and it seemed like Dick was always in a good mood.  I also remember Dick being there when we moved into the dorms at OSU (Craig, Jay Feller, Mike Tzagournis and myself).  He looked at us as he was leaving (shaking his head slowly and grinning) and said, "Now you guys don't get in any trouble!"  He was always supportive in helping my career.  Dick was like a second father to me and I loved him dearly.  Dick, you will be truly missed!  Geoff Smith

Anna is out of town on business but I just received this message: “I’ll never forget when I saw him right after my Dad died at Sawmill working out. He came over to me and told me how much he loved my dad and how sad he was to hear the news. it was so nice of him to speak like that about my dad. I’ll never forget his kindness. He was such a sweet man. “
