

He was employed by AEP Ohio for the last 41 years.
He loved cooking, fine dining, fishing, boating, hunting, playing guitar and listening to music. Richard also loved to spend time with his beloved children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed watching the Alabama Crimson Tide, NC Tar Heels and the Oakland Raiders.
Son of the late Richard V. Bennett Sr. and grandson of the late Mary and Hugh Bennett (Nobile).
He is survived by his mother, Deloras Cowan; daughter, Amy (Andy) Harper; Son, Richard Austin Bennett; mother of his children and wife of 20 years, Laura Miller-Leyshon (Mike Leyshon); granddaughter, Alyssa Bennett (Elizabeth Rohm); grandson, Domenic Harper; granddaughter, Rylan Bennett (Kristen Ruppen); Step-grandchildren, Hayley and Roni Harper, Caden Casto, andJaxson Rohm; brother, Hugh Bennett; sisters, Gina (Chris) Janke and Alesia Bennett; special nieces, Danielle Dobbs and Jessica (Daniel) Thompson; special nephew, Patrick Dobbs; great nephew, Jesco Thompson; great niece, Jolene Thompson; uncles, Hugh Bennett and Ron Steinhour; aunts, Cora Yoder (Cecil), Pat (Don)Bennett and Dona Fisher; former wife, Denise Nimmons (Tiawni, Bobby, Eddie and Kier Carpenter); lifetime friend, Cliff (Karen) Walker; special friend, Ndjele Kasongo; AEP friends and family; numerous loving cousins and special friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday December 13, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123; where a service will be held on Friday December 14, 2018 at 11am. Interment, Sunset Cemetery.
