

Richard J. “Dick” DiPaolo, Sr., age 77, of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 28, 1935 to the late John and Ellen (nee Dugan) DiPaolo. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Steubenville in 1953 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to earn his degree from Steubenville University where he was a member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and later assisted in reopening the chapter at OSU. He retired as Vice President of First Investors after 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed sports and coached his children’s football and baseball teams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Jean DiPaolo; and brother, Harry Meagher. He is survived by his wife, Valencia DiPaolo; children, Theresa, Lisa, Gina, Rich (Jessica), and Maggie DiPaolo; step-daughter, Deanna Toops; grandchildren, Rick, Anthony, Molly, Danielle, Cassandra, Michael, and Nick; great grandchildren, Jacob and Melody; brother, Ron Meagher; sister, Cheryl Meagher; and nieces and nephews. Dick will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, and fun loving family man who loved to tell stories and make you laugh. Friends may call on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00AM. Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating.
