Richard Earl Hobbs, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He was born in Columbus on June 8, 1941, to the late John P. and Mamie M. Hobbs. Richard was previously employed by SCOA, and by Medex. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul V. Hobbs. He is survived by his brothers, Charles F., William R. (Shirlene), Calvin R. (Rosemary), Robert L., and George T. Hobbs; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church. Family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
