Rita Marlene Busch (Hathaway), 86, flew to heaven July 25th, 2024. Born in Lima, OH she was preceded in death by her parents Mandis and Ethel Hathaway and brother Milton Hathaway and infant son John Francis Busch.
She grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Maple Heights HS. After high school she married and raised her children in Worthington, OH. She was a true philanthropist and dedicated many hours to fundraising events for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She loved animals and always opened her door for homeless cats and dogs. Rita was an outstanding administrative assistant and was proud to have been a personal secretary to Woody Hayes.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Laura (Jeff) Yaroma of Dublin, OH, Stephen (Tonda) Busch of Columbus, OH, and Shannon (Steve) Covert of Lewis Center, OH; by grandchildren Eric and Megan Yaroma, Connor and Isabella Busch and Casey Covert. The children will host a small celebration of life at a future date.
