Robert (Bob) L. Grau

Robert (Bob) Lee Grau, 68, of Westerville, Ohio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend of many, passed away on May 16th, 2015, at The James Cancer Hospital with his family by his side.

He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife, Michelle; children, Karen (Andy) Wolf, Bryan (Autumn) Weeks, and Jana (Karl) Schmitt; grandchildren Austin, Maddie, Braden and Brysen Weeks and Alex Schmitt; and by brothers Dan (Lynn) Grau and Charlie (Vicki) Grau. He is also survived by a daughter Lori (Chris) Schock.

Bob was a U.S. Marine, having served in Vietnam; he was a member of American Legion Post 171 at Westerville. Bob worked in grocery distribution throughout his 43-year career. He was a respected colleague and friend to many and was loved by all.

Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4686 E. Walnut Street, Westerville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4686 East Walnut Street, Westerville, Ohio 43081 in appreciation for their support and fellowship to both Bob and Michelle throughout Bob’s lengthy battle with kidney cancer. Memorial contributions may also be made to LSS Food Pantries in care of Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio, 1460 South Champion Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206.
