Robert Aaron Brewer

Robert Aaron "Bob" Brewer, age 84, passed peacefully Monday, April 25, 2016. Robert was born on April 6, 1932 in Chauncey, Ohio to the late Arthur Q. and Lucy J. Brewer. Bob was a graduate of North High School, class of 1950. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1956 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Bob was very proud to serve in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1954. He remained in the USMC Reserve until 1964 having attained the rank of Captain. He was employed for his entire working life by Columbus Coated Fabrics and Borden Chemical Corporation. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Betty L. "Teddy" Brewer. A devoted father and grandfather, he is survived by his sons, Robert A. (Teri) Brewer Jr. and Brian C. (Karen) Brewer; grandchildren, Robert A. III, Jack, Cuyler, Casey and Colton Brewer. Bob is also survived by his sister, Jean Mclane; brothers, James A. (Naomi) and John D. (Kathleen) Brewer; sister-in-law, Barbara (John) Duell; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was a gentle giant who loved and was loved by all dogs. He will be especially missed by his best friend, Bo. Family requests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to The Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto-Darby Executive Court Hilliard, Ohio 43026. A private interment will be held at Union Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
