Robert "Papa Bear" Byers, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ella Byers; brother, Ronnie, wife, Gertrude; and daughter, Barbara. He is survived by his children, Cathy, Bobby (Margo), Ricky (Michelle), and John; fiancée, Betty; four step-children; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43204. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00AM in the chapel at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway, Ohio 43119. Pastor Tom Paulquette officiating.
