

Robert “Bob” Russell Kimball, 92, a World War II Air Force Veteran, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic with his daughters by his side. Born in Canton, Ohio February 18, 1918 he was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Marie Kimball, his father, Erwin Kimball; brothers, Erwin “Bun” Kimball and James Kimball; sisters, Mary Lou Evans and Clarabel “Cal” Oman; and his loving wife of 67 years, Louise who passed away in 2008. Bob was a longtime Hilltop resident who retired from Weaver Trailer and Body Co. and Fruehauf Trailer Co. He attended West High School. He was a 32nd Degree lifetime Mason belonging to West Gate Lodge No. 0623 F.&A.M. Columbus. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and Aladdin Temple Shrine. Bob loved his family, flowers, and pets. He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Louise (Stu) Burge of Southlake, TX and Cathy K. (Ronald) Lantz of Upper Arlington, OH; one treasured grandson, Jason R. Lantz; six nieces; three nephews; a brother in-law Ernest Porter; many loving friends and neighbors; and one grand-dog, Lucky. Friends may call Friday, August 20, 2010 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00AM. Pastor Steve Wachtman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
