Robert Henry Leslie age 87, a resident of Columbus passed away peacefully Friday, September 25, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Masters Degree. Robert served with the Air Force during WWII, was an avid beer can collector and actively pursued family genealogy. As Master of Ceremonies for the Gingersnaps Performing Group he was an entertaining story teller and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, survived by his loving wife Ruth Leslie, children Laura Hollinger, Jeanne Back, Richard A. Leslie, Robin (Carey) Williams, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother and a sister. Family will receive friends Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM. Inurnment to follow in Kingwood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
