Robert John Roberts

Robert J. "Bob" Roberts, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He was born on July 14, 1923, in Bellevue, PA, to the late Robert and Ethel Roberts. Bob was a World War II veteran serving in the Merchant Marines. He had a lifelong career at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring as a Senior Vice President. He was an avid sports fan and was especially dedicated to the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers. Bob also was an exceptional grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-children. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Roberts and his sister, Kathryn (Kitty) Ries. He will be greatly missed by his three children, Marcia (John) Thompson, Turk (Laura) Roberts, and Chris (Frank) Westermajer; his seven grandchildren and his thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
