

Robert "Bob" Donald Scott, age 61, of Gahanna, OH passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2018. Bob was born July 4, 1957 in New Martinsville, WV, the only child of Robert and Ruth Scott. He graduated from Shadyside Academy in Pittsburgh, PA, earned a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of Houston. Bob began his career at Columbia Gas of Ohio. He later became a Renewable Energy Solution Development Leader at Johnson Controls. Most recently, he worked as a Federal Development Engineer at Energy Solutions Group. His career focus was on improving energy efficiency for commercial enterprises and government. Bob completed many marathons and enjoyed boating, water skiing and downhill skiing with his family. He loved to travel and was always planning wonderful trips for his family. Bob was a supportive and devoted husband and father and would do anything for the people he loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cynthia (Neff) and his two daughters, Olivia and Malinda Scott. Also survived by sisters-in-law Diane Neff and Nancy Rodriguez; nieces and nephews, Jordan and Sophia Rodriguez, Nikki Booth, James Holt and Michelle Neff; extended family and special friends; Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law James Neff. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3pm Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna with gathering from 2-3pm as well as a reception following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Green Energy Ohio (GreenEnergyoh.org) in his memory.
