Robert L. Sherman

A funeral service for Robert “Buck” Sherman of Newark will be held Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with interment in Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Martindale officiating.

Bob was born on November 12, 1952 in Newark to the late William Lester and Betty Jane (Shaw) Sherman. He died Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Grant Hospital in Columbus. He was 59.

“Buck” was a member of the NHS Class of ’71, a truck driver that was a thoughtful and dedicated worker. He loved Christmas, cookouts, video games, the racetrack and movies. He loved being with his family, especially during Christmas; and he enjoyed working and the companionship of his dog Arizona.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Andrew L., Gary L. Sherman and Rick Moran, and granddaughter Hanna A. Lovell

Robert is survived by his wife Judith K. Sherman of Newark, children Mickie K. Sherman of Westerville, Robert L. Lovell, Robbie L. Sherman Jr. and Keisha R. Abel of Newark; grandchildren Harold Hadnot of Westerville and Carter S. Lovell of Newark. Sisters Sherry Salyers, Melissa (Gary) Roberts, Mary Gwynn,Marilyn (Herb) Braunbeck, Debbie Ashley of Newark and Alaska (John) Keener of Hebron. Brothers Richard (Judy) Sherman of Heath, William Sherman, Aubrey Sherman, Thomas Mulcare of Newark, Lester (Tenie) Mulcare of Zanesville, and William Mulcare of Newark, and numerous nieces and nephews.
