

Visitation will be Friday, December 7th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at Schoedinger Chapel Worthington, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, OH. On Saturday, December 8th, at Church of the Messiah, 51 N. State Street, Westerville, OH, additional visitation will take place there from 1:30-2:30 PM, to be followed by a memorial service there at 2:30 PM. All are welcome.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Maxine H. Villwock (née McCutcheon). They married on August 5, 1967 in Mansfield, Ohio and were married for 51 happy years. Bob is also survived by his brother Edmund ("Bud") E. Villwock, and by three sons and their families: Robert D. Villwock, Victor Kurtis Villwock (Karin) and David S. Villwock (Amy), and by five grandchildren: Trevor, Seren, Anders, Carl and Cameron, and by sister-in-law Carole (McCutcheon) Johnston, and by many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Virginia I. (Sandberg) and Robert H. Villwock, sister-in-law Dorothy J. (Wasileauskas) Villwock, and brother-in-law Nelson Richard McCutcheon.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois and throughout his life he has lived in Chicago; Western Springs, Illinois; Oelwein, Iowa; Brunswick, Ohio; North Aurora, Illinois; and Westerville, Ohio. He graduated from Iowa State University, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi, with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. He was a devoted husband and father. Bob was a member of Vasa-Viljan Lodge, a longtime member of the Institute of Food Technologists, and a 50-year member of the American Chemical Society. Bob worked as an analytical chemist and an executive for Wilson Foods, Durkee, and Van Den Bergh Foods before retiring to pursue full-time his true passion, music. He sang and performed on piano, saxophone, or clarinet with an irresistibly joyful zeal. Through music, he became fierce friends with many. Both as a sideman and as a bandleader, he played for bands in Illinois and Ohio such as Jazzmin, Bob Villwock and Friends, Just Friends, Swing Thing, Class Act, Swedish Pastry, The Freenotes, One Step Up, First Choice, and too many more to list. He was especially proud to tour the world with American Winds Big Band. Bob was active in every community where he lived, volunteering as a performer or music director in choral, theater and music groups such as the Brunswick Entertainment Company, The Brunswick Youth Talent Show, Sound Waves, Columbus Maennerchor, The Silvertones, the Forever Young theater group, various Swedish and German mens' choruses, numerous county beauty pageants and church music programs.
