Robert Paul Wagner Jr., age 88, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Born in Columbus on March 7, 1926, Robert was the son of Robert P. Wagner, Sr. and Beatrice Braskett Wagner. He was a WWII United States Navy veteran, having served in the Pacific from 1944 through 1945. He retired from the Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He is survived by his sister, Roberta "Betty" Slagle, daughter, Barbara Sachs, sons, Robert P. Wagner, III, and Gary Bowers, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Sauls Wagner, in 1966, and second wife, Betty Elder Bowers Wagner, in 1996. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 1 PM until time of service at 2 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd.
