I just heard of Ron's passing and wanted to extend my condolences to his family.  I knew Ron in high school, lived in the same neighborhood and double dated a few times with him and his then girlfriend.  He was such a kind sole, I regret losing touch with him after graduation.  My sincere sympathy to the family.

Please allow me to extend my deepest sympathy during this difficult time to your family.    I know the pain of losing a someone close.  The scriptures have really helped me and I wanted to share some with your family.  Like, in knowing that Jehovah God loves us, he is near to those that are broken at heart and those that are crushed in spirit he saves - Psalms 34:18; Psalms 83:18. One day soon, "no resident will say: I am sick" - Isaiah 33:24.     John 5:28,29 gives hope of a future resurrection and Revelation 21:3,4 speaks of a time when death, mourning, or pain will be no more.   Jesus at John 11:11 said to his disciples, "Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep."  We can have faith in these promises.    I had also personally wondered why God has temporarily allowed the suffering and death that surrounds us.   I found the answers in the bible. It can bring much comfort to know the answers. My wife Edwina and I had the privilege of working with Ron for many years at B.C.I. & I. and we are sad to hear of his passing.  My Fraternal Order of Police watch that I have has special meaning to me as Ron was the one who presented it to me when I retired in 2000.

I remember spending time at the park where we grew up and Ronnie (as I new him) teaching me how to drive his new MG (stick shift). Probably not a smart idea at the time, even though nothing bad happened to his new car.

As they say, you can't pick your family.  Working together for 23 years, we often spent more time with each other than we did our real families.  It feels like we did grow up together in many ways. Although Ron and I did not grow up together, I consider him one of my few life long friends.  Our friendship and the counsel we so often shared will be missed for my life time.

Ron loved to scuba and was fortunate enough to complete ocean dives in the Florida Keys at the  Molasses Reef and the Benwood Ship Wreck off prior to his passing on.

Ron and I spent a lot of time together as teens.  As neighbors, we walked to school together and spent many hours in the driveway racing Hotwheels and just talking on the carport.  I regret losing touch after graduation, but life happens I guess.  My sympathy goes out to the family.  Hi Carl.
