

Ronald D. Hamilton, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born on June 24, 1938 at White Cross Hospital in Columbus to the late Harold and Effie G. (DeWitt) Hamilton. A graduate of Upper Arlington High School, he went on to graduate from Capital University. Ron was a longtime employee of the Columbus Dispatch, beginning his career as a Classified Advertising Sales Executive and eventually retiring as a Key Account Executive in Retail Advertising. He is survived by his long-time companion, Becky Stewart; best friend, Auggie Husse and his wife Jody. Ron was always bigger than life. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved mother, his Men’s Camp group and many, many business and professional friendships throughout the years, and his two prize race horses. His special talent lies in his ability to paint landscapes and caricature photos. His strong will, and his sense of humor were often displayed when you least expected it. He was a member of New England Lodge # 4 F &AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus and Aladdin Temple Shrine. Committal Service will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Union Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 3349 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43202.
