Rosalie’s career – “where she earned her $$$”
With her advanced degree in experimental / human factors psychology, Rosalie had an extensive career with Lucent Technologies as MTS. She continued working after retirement as a Human Factors consultant working with Microsoft, Lockheed and Vanguard.
Rosalie’s Passions
Aviation
All the while Rosalie was working and/or teaching and/or BOTH; somehow Rosalie found the time to start an aviation company!? Rosalie took a dare from a co-worker to take a test flight and she was hooked. However, in a male dominated business, she thought things, such as training, could be done a little differently, thus the birth of her “Baby” Aviation Technologies, Inc., located at Rickenbacker Airport here in central Ohio. Reaching success in flight instruction and training, Rosalie expanded to include yet another company, Air 1 Express, specializing in charter service. Rosalie’s business venture’s had her working directly with Ohio National Guard, Ohio State Police, Ohio State Government and even the Hollywood as producers used one of Rosalie’s twin engine Cessna’s to film a couple scenes in the movie Air Force One.
In her capacity of Aviation, Rosalie became very active in the Aviation Industry, working as president of Columbus Flight Watch (CFW) - a membership organization of Central Ohio aviation enthusiasts dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the airports, the airspace, and the land immediately surrounding these vital aviation assets of Central Ohio.
Politics
Tea Party Activist, Fox News Junky – even in Rosalie’s last months, either in her home, hospital or rehab centers, she needed her Fox News to know everything was OK and she was being looked after when she felt alone.
Teaching
Rosalie was an Instructor at the collegiate level. Her experience included Universities such as San Diego State University, CUNY, Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ and Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio. Rosalie loved teaching and would spend numerous long evenings, sometimes all nighters, grading papers and assignments. She felt her students deserved it!
In lieu of donations, please take an extra minute or two during the day to simply be nice to someone else. Doesn’t cost anything and is very easy. Rosalie was always very nice to everyone and it would be so nice if we all could do the same, even for just a minute or two. The family would like to thank all that have provided such wonderful support during Rosalie's last days. It is truly appreciated. Funeral services are being held at the SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 from 6 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011 which will be followed by comments and memories from friends and family.
