Rosella C. Garrabrant

Rosella C. Garrabrant (Slane), age 89, passed away on May 2, 2014. Rosella was born in Wayne Co., WV on June 7, 1924 to the late William H. and Bettie Clark. Rosella retired from Southwestern City Schools where she was a cook. She also enjoyed her summers cooking for Camp Wyandot. She was a member of Alkire Church of Christ. Rosella enjoyed bowling, fishing, and flowers. She will be remembered for being a very caring person and was always there for her family. Preceded in death by her husbands, Rollen S. Slane, Jr. and Louis Garrabrant; children, William R. Slane and Joan Skinner. Survived by her children, Joyce A. Purcell, James R., Jerry L. and John S. (Linda) Slane; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 11:00 - 12 Noon at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, where funeral service will be 12:00 pm with Pastor Mark Bass officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Columbus Cancer Clinic or Ft. Hill Christian Camp c/o Alkire Church of Christ.
