Rosemary Alene Picklesimer

Rosemary A. Picklesimer, 82, of Tarlton, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at Genesis Healthcare in Circleville. She was born June 25, 1932 in Stoutsville, to Amos and Florence (Karr) Valentine. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Picklesimer; her parents; sister, Rita Peters; and brother, Randall Valentine.

Rosemary was a LPN and had worked for the State of Ohio. She was quiet and reserved and loved babies and children. She would do anything for family and friends. Rosemary was a good cook and often made her family’s favorite, Valentine Soup. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Hawaii and making the annual trip to Michigan to go mushroom hunting.

Rosemary will be dearly missed by her family: husband, Bob Picklesimer; sons, Steven (Bonnie) Picklesimer and Jeffrey Picklesimer; grandchildren, Shawn Picklesimer, Stephanie (Curtis Canter) Nichols, Sarah (Justin) Higley, Tyler (Alix Eaton) Nichols, Matt, Robert and Starr Picklesimer; great-grandchildren, Korben and Serenity Canter and Colton Nichols; sisters, Ruth Ann Brobst and Renee Culbertson; and brother, Roger (Sally) Valentine.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Summers officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Thursday.
