Rosetta Eloise Gomer

Rosetta retired from the Columbus Developmental Center after 30 years of service. She graduated from Columbus East High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Murna and Cecil), husband (Charles Edward Gomer Sr.), brothers (Terrence and Cecil D.), special niece (Sandy Cousins), special cousins (Loring Gomer and Nina Armstrong), brother-in-law Paul (Bernice) Gomer and sister-in-law Mary (Oliver) Cousins. Those she leaves to cherish her memory include: daughter, Charlene Gomer, sons, Charles Edward Gomer Jr., and Dana Michael Gomer all of Columbus, Ohio, brothers Kenneth (Sondra) Wooten and Gary Wooten, and sisters Carolyn (Gene) Berry, Sandra (Paul) Jones, Jackie (Mark) Hill, grandchildren , Roshad (Rolanda), Reylicia, Chasrah (William),and Dwand Montgomery, great-grandchildren Alonna, William IV. Special friends, Delores Prillerman, Mary Starks, and Mary Austin and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and loving friends. Special thanks to her care-giver Rita Yancy and Marilyn Zimmerman.

Our mother was a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeye fan. In her later years church was not possible however she insistent in having The Daily Word and The Journey for her spiritual enlightenment along with reading her Bible where she resided. She also enjoyed reading the newspaper and attempting to solve her Sodoku Puzzles.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 20th from 9-10 am at Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church, 3415 El Paso Dr., Columbus, OH 43204, where a memorial service will be held at 10:00 am.
