Roy Leon McAlister, Jr., age 48, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Regency Manor. He was born on September 12, 1967 in Burlington, Kansas to the late Roy Leon McAlister Sr. and Nolen (Phillips) McAlister. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Nira Hallman; his grandparents; and uncles. He is survived by his sister, Mary McAlister; niece, Abygail; nephews, Harley and Maxwell; aunts, Helen (John) and Lucille; uncles, Matt (Terri) and Ezra (Evamae) Phillips and extended family. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday, April 21, 2016.
