Ruth Braun

Ruth Jean Braun, age 86, of Upper Arlington passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Ruth was born in Parkersburg, WV on April 17, 1925; she was the daughter of the late Zolley and Inez Ferrell. Ruth was also preceded in death by beloved husband, Frederick Braun. She is survived by her loving family, children, Douglas (Nanci) Braun, Fred (Denise) Braun, David (Ellen) Braun and Leslie (Craig) Goldsberry; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Melissa, Dustin, Derek, Devin, Zachary, Evan, Megan, Darcy and Dustin; and 4 great grandchildren. Ruth has been a member of Xenos Christian Fellowship Church since 1975; where she was active in the Youth for Christ Ministry and home bible studies. She was a loving and compassionate woman, opening her home to over 20 different foster children. Ruth enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She will be remembered for her generous heart and the love she had for her family. Memorial service will be on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11am at Xenos Christian Fellowship Church, 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where family will receive friends following the service (south of 270 off Cleveland Avenue).
