

Ruth A. McIntosh, age 97, a native of Gahanna and former resident of Blacklick, died Sunday July 31, 2011 at Traditions at Stygler. Ruth was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was a member of Dorca’s Circle. 1931 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, where she participated in all sports and later in life enjoyed golf. She is a member of the Gahanna Lincoln Athletic Hall of Fame, Class of 1987, Gahanna Senior Citizens and Tri-Community VFW Post 4719, Ladies Auxillary. Ruth retired from the Blacklick Post Office. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Laura (Erlenbach) Lintner, brothers Carl, Paul, Ralph, Beck, Elmer, Walter, and Elvin Lintner and a sister Cora Miller; husband Carl “Mac” McIntosh, and their daughter Sandra K. Lynn. She is survived by her sons Jerry (Sally) McIntosh and John McIntosh, granddaughters Andrea (Stephen) Hickok, April (Curt) Stingel, and Cari McIntosh; grandson Mark (Danielle) McIntosh; great grand-daughters Ashley Stingel and Abbey Stingel; great-great- granddaughters Haley and Makenna; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Road) Gahanna. Funeral Service 11am Friday, August 5, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church 455 Clark State Road Gahanna, with Pastor Kai Nilsen, officiating. Interment in Forest lawn Memorial Gardens.
