Ruth Evelyn Myers

Ruth Evelyn Myers, age 97, of Columbus, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2014. Ruth was born in Columbus, OH on July 13, 1916; the daughter of Marie (Mertens) and Walter Myers. She was a bookkeeper retiring from the Borden Company. Ruth was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Rachel Circle and Congregational Life Committee. She was also a lifetime Buckeye fan. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Florence Myers and Paul (Jane) Myers. Ruth is survived by her niece and nephews Beth Fraley, Tim (Diana) Myers and Billy (Caron) Myers; great nieces and nephews Adam (Lisa) Henry, Wendy Fraley (Bob McCollins), Gerrit Myers, Timmy (Kim) Myers, Kirsten Gruber, Shawn Gruber, Troy Myers, Jay (Allison) DeMarcus, and Tiffany (Rickey) Konkoskia; great great nieces and nephews Addison, Mason and Anthony Henry; Chelsey, Riley and Reed Ferry; Paige, Cy and Colin Myers; Dylan and Madeline DeMarcus; Clayton, Lacie and Ava Surrell and Kirany Konkoskia; Cousins Steve and Phyllis Everett & family, Rod Johnson & family, Helen Dennis & Family and Don and Cathy Vogel & family; and special friends Wanda and Alexis. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 East State St. A funeral service will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 404 S. Third St., Columbus, OH, 43215 with Pastor Charles Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Stain Glass Window fund in Ruth’s memory.
