Ruth Murrell Peake age 80, of Columbus, Ohio lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary L. Olendorf (Green) and Edward H. Olendorf, and her sister, Henrietta Hampton. Ruth was a 1957 graduate of Central High School and retired from the City of Columbus in 2003. She was a member of Grove City Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Avon Presidents' Club, loved gardening, the Ohio State Buckeyes and most importantly--her family. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (Peter) Katris, Elizabeth (Thomas) Leitnaker, Kelly (Ronald) Ballard, Kim (Jay) Soczka, and Suzi (Scott) Bailey; a niece, a nephew; and many, many grand and great-grandchildren. Ruth's family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday, January 14 at Schoedinger Grove City 3920 Broadway Grove City where her family will hold a private funeral service 10 AM Friday.
