Samuel Elliot Given, 83, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016. He was born November 19, 1932 in Frametown, West Virginia to the late Edward and Opel (Martin) Given. He was a Korean War army veteran who served in the 3rd Armored Division, 83rd Reconnaissance Battalion and retired from Columbus Southern Power-American Electric Power. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Glennis "Dolly" (Shamblin) Given. Sam is survived by his son, Sam (Channon) Given; daughter, Robin (William) Preston; grandchildren, Alyssa Preston, Ana (Clayton) Vickroy, Scott Given, and Jessica (Adam) Koch; great granddaughters, Addilynn and Elliana Vickroy; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
