Samuel R. Miller

Samuel R. Miller, age 64, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 following a valiant 6 year battle with cancer. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 14, 1958, son of the late John R. and Betty (Welch) Miller. He worked for many years in the maintenance departments of several local colleges and universities. Sam will be greatly missed by his wife, Debbie; children, Jennifer (Dan), Samantha (Harold), Danielle, Tabitha (Brian) and Nickolas; beloved grandchildren, Victoria (Brandon), James, Coy (Claudia), Katelyn, Hannah, Jason, Anthony, Kairi, Daniel and Temperance and great-grandchildren, Paisley, Emma and Carly. Also survived by brothers, Steve (Darlene), Glen (Debbie), Jim (Jan), Keith (Donna), Rick (Libby) and John Miller; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School. Sam put his family first in everything he did and was considered a “Super Hero” by his family as was seen by his work ethic and hard-working attitude. He loved rooting for the University of Michigan and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon (# 24 car). He also enjoyed going to classic car shows and riding motorcycles. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 pm Monday, October 16, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 10:30 am -1:30 pm Monday. Interment to follow Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
