Sandra J. (Friend) Matthews, age 78, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016. She was born on May 22, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, Emogene and Harold; brothers, Bill, Paul, and Eddie Friend; sons, Rocky, and Rodney; grandson, Lee. Survived by sisters, Bev, Nancy, Peanut (Adam), Karen (Johnny), Laura and their families; sister-in-law, May; daughters, Melody (Don) Post, Cindy (Kel) Turner, Janet, Tracy (Dave) Bagley; son, Jeff (Diane) Matthews; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mom loved all of you. Family will receive friends 2-8 pm Wednesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, August 18, 2016. Interment to follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Lockbourne.
