

Scott was born in Sharonville, Ohio on January 17, 1926 to Scott & Violet Collins. Scott graduated from Monroe High School in 1944 and went on to graduate from Miami University in 1948 with a degree in Business Administration.
Scott was a 32nd degree Mason, a past President of the Northwest Shriners Club, Phi Delta Theta, and a member of the Sunbury Golf League.
He loved his family, as well as big band music and flying his airplane, he had his pilot’s license for over 30 years. He was a local Columbus business owner for over 32 years with his company Scott Collins & Associates.
Mr. Collins is survived by his six children: Patrick (Pauline) Collins, Michael (Dee) Collins, Jeffrey (Patricia) Collins, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Metzger, Brenda Taylor, Pamela (Jesse) Henderson, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a niece, Julie Mullinex, and his first wife Ruth Hill. He was preceded in death by parents, Scott & Violet Collins, his wife of 37 years, Emily Collins, son, Scott Metzger and sister Alice Collins Riggs.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Masonic service at 7:30 pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; where funeral services will be at 10am on Tuesday, December 20, 2011; Pastor Ed Colegrove officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
