Scott was a well educated man, with a PHD in Biology. Even though he grew up in Charleston, WV, he lived his last 50 years in Columbus. He was employed as an editor at Chemical Abstract. He loved to travel, hike, and play tennis. His main interests were reading and writing, with genealogy being his favorite study. Scott was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scott is survived by his nephew Jeff Martin, and Niece Jan Elswick.
In addition to his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his brother Frank Martin.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
