Steve Patterson

Steve Patterson, 75, of Lewis Center, Ohio (formerly of Mansfield, Ohio) passed away at home on April 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He graduated in 1960 from Plymouth-Shiloh High School where he earned 12 letters in football, basketball, baseball and track. He was a Scholar-Athlete winner and an All-County and All-Ohio honorable mention player.

Steve was inducted into the Plymouth-Shiloh Athletics Hall of Fame for these honors on January 22nd, 2015. He moved to Mansfield, Ohio in 1967 where he made many new friends and memories playing softball. You could always find Steve on his boat on Lake Erie where he loved to walleye and perch fish. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams on television and going to the Casinos. He retired from Gale Insulation in 2008 where he served Columbus and the surrounding areas. Steve was a respected and admired force in the building industry. A life well lived.

Steve is survived by his wife and best friend Sharon, daughters Stacy Buchanan and Jodi Armstrong, grandchildren Allyce Armstrong, Joshua Armstrong, Kaleb Armstrong, Rebecca Buchanan, Emma Buchanan, great-grandson Easton Grant, sister Judith Hunt, sister-in-law Carol Patterson, step-children David (Kelly) Carpenter, Debra (Mark) Neff, Denise (Jim) Martin, step-grandchildren Cody, Kyle and Courtney Carpenter, Vincent, Bradley, Joshua and Nathan Neff, Luke and Avery Martin, step-great granddaughter Kara Neff, and several nieces and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy Patterson, and brother Bill Patterson.

Please join us for a Memorial Service where we will celebrate Steve’s life on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at Kingwood Memorial Park 8230 Columbus Pike (Route 23) Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
