

Steven Dale Huddle was born on August 22, 1959 at Johnson Air Base in Saitama Ken, Japan, to father Robert Huddle and mother Nina Huddle, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at The James Cancer Hospital. Steve was able to enjoy two first birthdays when his family departed Japan on August 22, 1960 and due to the time change, arrived the next day in the United States, also, August 22, 1960. Steve enjoyed his childhood with two brothers, older brother Tom, and younger brother Dave. As a military family the Huddles lived in several locations during Steve's childhood including Germany, Florida, New Mexico, Virginia and ultimately Ohio, where Steve put down roots. Steve was a 1977 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and also studied at The Ohio State University. Steve and Sherri Sands (formerly Huddle) were married in 1981. Their union resulted in the creation of three wonderful children Adam, Stephanie, and Kevin, who remain a source of pride and happiness in his life. Steve was a career salesman working for JJ Hammond, Verizon, MI Homes, Northwestern Mutual and Superior Walls of Ohio. Steve and Patty (Dalton) Huddle met in 2006 and married in 2007. Each considered their union a gift and one that was never taken for granted. They were the loves of each other's lives. In his 30's Steve discovered the joy of running. He enjoyed running with the Granville Running Group, hours on the Granville bike path and with his children. In May 2009, Steve was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer which never affected his positive outlook and humor. Steve is survived by parents Nina and Bob (Barbara) Huddle; Brother Dave (Diana) Huddle; Wife Patty; children Adam (girlfriend Lisa Carlin), Stephanie (Fiancé Nate Deibel) and Kevin; Uncle Tom Stout; Uncle John Huddle, Cousins Kathy (Ted) Theilking and Christine (Kyle) Rooney. Father-In-law Fred Dalton and Mother-in-Law Mary Lou Huffman, Sisters-in-Law Lori (Dave) LeVeque and Lisa (John) Offenbaker. Nieces, nephews and their families. Steve's life was touched by caring friends, many compassionate health care professionals as well as friendships formed through our brain tumor support group. The family extends its thanks to these individuals.
