

Susan Jane (Cooper) McCullough, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born January 14, 1941, to late Stanley and Mary Cooper in Brazil, Indiana. She received her Bachelors of Education from Indiana University where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She devoted her life to teaching in the Franklin County, Ohio and the City of Columbus school systems for over 30 years. Susan was a long-time dedicated member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, volunteered for many years as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Ann's Hospital and served on the Bishop's Council. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Susan served on the Board of Directors for the Willowick Condo Association as Secretary and Publisher of the quarterly newsletter. She was an avid reader who spent time in book clubs including the Teacher's as Readers Club. Most importantly, Susan was a loving wife, a devoted mother of three amazing children, who supported them in all their various activities, a proud grandmother and a caring sister. Susan and Warren consistently demonstrated to their children great character, keys of life and kindness. She was a fantastic teacher and role model not only to her children but to all her students over the years. Survived by loving husband of 55 years, Warren McCullough, who was her high school sweetheart; children, Mark Cooper (Jill) McCullough, Joseph Riley "J.R." (Amy) McCullough and Sarah Ann (Kyle) Stevenson; grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Alex, Katie, Annalise, Deacon and Alena; sister, Betty Ann (Louis J.) Roney; nephew, Louis V. Roney and niece, Amy Deckard; along with many friends. Family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road where a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Con-Celebrants, Father Ramon Owera and Father Charles Cotton. Private family interment at a later date.
