Susan Marie Hauck Miller

Susan M. Miller, 82, of Thornville, Ohio passed away December 28, 2017 at Pickering House FairHope Hospice in Lancaster, Ohio. Susan was born September 1, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to Edward and Juanita (Gatton) Hauck; also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold "Dusty" Miller Sr. and son Daniel E. Miller. Susan is survived by her children, Harold (Ruth) Miller, Jr., Shelly (Steve) Kaufman and Frederick Miller; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Betty-deceased), Robert (Frances) and Thomas Hauck; daughter-in-law and her husband, Anne and Doug Barrientos; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Susan retired from a career in carpentry and decorative art. She was passionate about painting and was a member of Heart of Ohio Tole and the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters. Susan was also an avid roller skater and an obsessive reader. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:30am; Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in New Albany.
