Susan Renee Ranelli (DeFrank), age 52, of Dublin, Ohio, died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 29, 2018 due to an accidental drowning while on vacation in the scenic Hocking Hills resort area. She was an extraordinary and accomplished Registered Nurse, a precious daughter, a beloved and cherished wife, a loving mother, and a beaming grandmother. As a boundless explorer, she loved outdoor adventures, travel, hiking, reading, music, movies, the sciences and the arts, and an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Susan is preceded in death by her son, Jon Michael Green and her grandmother, Thelma Yarwick. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank J. Ranelli; daughter, Erica L. (Rick) Roden; son, Christopher (Marcia) Green; grandson, Ellis Green; granddaughters, Karlee and Olivia Roden; parents Barb and Bob Thomas; sister, Debra (Jack) Greenfield; brother, Michael (Eddie) De Frank; nieces, nephews and extended family. Susan always had a gleam in her eyes, a megawatt smile, an infectious laugh, a soft touch, endearing hugs, a warm, tender, unstinting heart, and an unbridled passion, ardor, and alacrity for love, family, friends, and most of all, life. She was the unalloyed embodiment and indomitable spirit of what it truly meant to be an incomparable, special, and remarkable woman. Her profound absence will unquestionably be felt by all who knew Susan. No services, calling hours or funeral will take place but instead a Celebration of Life will be held in Boardman, Ohio to be announced at a later date. Respectfully, in lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a bequest honoring Susan's magnificent and wonderful life, please consider a donation to The AHA Foundation. .
