

Suzanne E. Ford age 71, a resident of Columbus died Friday, January 29, 2010. She was born March 24, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of the late Hant and Margaret Eason. She was raised in East Lansing and Battle Creek, MI. She graduated in 1956 from Battle Creek Central High School and 1960 from Hillsdale College. In college she earned her teaching degree and was a member of Pi Phi Sorority. She taught elementary school in Battle Creek and Mt Clemenes, MI and received her Masters Degree in Education at the same time. She was teacher of the year in 1963. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek and Mt. Clemenes. She was a twenty six year member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Central Ohio Counselors Association, a fanatical embroiderer, loved flower gardening, cooking, and eating out. She loved soaking in the Jacuzzi, her pet parrot, Toni and her Cairn Terrier, Kahlan. She had a great sense of humor, loved and nurtured her grandchildren and would Skype (video conference) with her grandchildren in Germany. She will be greatly missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her loving husband Steve whom she married on January 21, 1961, daughter, Krista (Michael) Gibson, granddaughters Jessica and Allison, son Charlie (Innes) and grandchildren Hanna and Jordan, two step sisters Charlotte and Louise, sister Louise, brothers Dave Wilcox, Terry Huston and Dean Cable. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270). Memorial contributions may be made to Kobacker House.
