Thelma Shaw "Tootie" passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022 at home with family at her side. She was born September 12, 1953 in Greensville, North Carolina. She worked for Columbus Public Schools for 27 years. Thelma was a strong woman with a beautiful soul and incredible sense of humor. She enjoyed working in her garden. She had a green thumb, and loved sitting on her porch enjoying nature. She is survived by daughters; Sincere "Theresa" Siaw (Bernard Williams), Gloria Denise Johnson (Dwayne Johnson), and Florinda Jean Johnson-Gaye (Manga Gaye), siblings; Gloria Smith-Hicks, Willie E. Shaw and Barbra Ann Shaw, grandchildren; Tyhera "Precious" Ware, Taje Anthony Ware, Branden Eugene Miller Jr., Adairah Jean Marie Johnson, Candace Hunt, Hannah Willis and Torin Yaw Siaw, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Thelma received her wings way to soon. Rest in peace until we meet again someday. You will be missed by many. We love you.
