Theodore I. Benson

Theodore Benson, age 72, passed away at Mount Carmel East Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. He was born on March 14, 1939 in Newark, Ohio to the late Ivar and Lois Benson. He graduated from Newark High School and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree from The Ohio State University. Theodore had a long successful career at Georgia Pacific, Ohio Polychemical and Limited Brands. He had many interests in life and was a Cincinnati Reds fan, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a long time member of Stonybrook United Methodist Church. His family will truly miss his companionship and dry sense of humor and especially spending Christmas with him. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet; daughters, Kim (David) Shull and Denise Hollings; grandchildren, Brooke (Josh) Ortiz, Matthew, Devon, Nathaniel and Elijah; and sister Roberta Benson.

Friends may call from 2-6 pm, Sunday, May 1, 2011at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown RD.
