

Theodore “Ted” David Wetterstroem, Jr. age 84, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Ted was a retired Design Engineer from Ranco Controls of Plain City, Ohio and North American Aviation (Rockwell) as a Liaison Engineer. Owner of D&T Enterprises for 25 years selling model railroad supplies. Life member of The National Model Railroad Association, Inc. and Columbus Model Railroad Club. Longtime member of The Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society and The Western Maryland Railway Historical Society. Ted created the art work and helped produce over 28 different model railroad freight car projects as well as designing the logos for Division 6 and Mid-Central Region of NMRA. Ted was a member of North Broadway United Methodist Church almost all of his life. Graduate from North High in 1945 and attended The Ohio State University where he was a member and president of the control board of Phi Mu Delta fraternity. Served in the U.S. Air Force in communications in the South Pacific. Ted is survived by loving wife, Dorothy Helen of 59 years, daughters, June Anne, Barbara Lee, Nancy Lynn Kane, Kay L. (Thomas) Gentry and son, David Howard (Nancy) and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Grace Wetterstroem and son-in-law, Donald Kane. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1pm at North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E. North Broadway, Columbus, Ohio 43214, Reverend Deborah Stevens officiating. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
