

Thomas R. Wilcox, age 72, of Centerburg, Ohio passed away Friday, December 2, 2011. He was born October 7, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Gordon and Dorothy (Isel) Wilcox. Tom was a man who saw and experienced the fullness of life through the lens of his camera. He worked for WTVN-TV, OSU Neuropathology, the Columbus Citizen Journal for 19 years, Riverside Media Center and was presently working for the State of Ohio Department of Health. He was a member of Professional Photographers of America and owned and operated The Village Photographer “Heartland Images” in Centerburg. Tom had a warm heart for stray animals and enjoyed a good cup of Starbucks coffee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Judith (Haag) Wilcox; children, Thomas G. (Julie), Robert (Carol), John (Sonja), Elizabeth Adams and Krista (Tom) Hagans; grandchildren, Adam, Katie, Nic, Emily (Patrick Wheeler) and Alex Wilcox, Jimmy Geiger, Megan (Eric) Berry, Nate Hagans, Joshua and Carson, Nate, Amber (Garrett Mann) and Tiffany Adams; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Wheeler; cousins, Ron (Mary) Wilcox, Ed (Judy) Isel and Danny (Judy) Isel; sister-in-law, Shirley Cochran; many good friends. Family will receive friends 4-7 Monday, December 5, 2011 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where services will be held at 11am Tuesday; Dr. Art Haimerl (All Shepherds Lutheran Church) officiating.
