We will all miss Tom.  The comfort that we find in honoring him frequently, either with a funny joke, a fond memory or a good cry is something that I cherish.  I am very proud to be a part of the Wilcox family and will always appreciate the memories that we have made along the way.  Most of my memories are of traveling with Tom and Judy to various hockey arenas watching Alex play.  I am forever grateful for the thousands of photos that Grandpa (and Grandma) took of Alex on the ice.  We will miss him terribly but know that he is always with us in our hearts.  So next time Alex is “sniped” on the ice we will know this is just Grandpa saying hello in his own special way.

Tom was a great guy to work with - I will miss him.  My condolences to his family.

Tom naturally made you smile ... more than not, he would have his camera and be on "a mission to shoot someone-something" or "taking pictures, just in case".  I had the pleasure of knowing Tom for a large portion of my 20 years at ODH and will miss seeing him (and his sidekick ... his camera) around!  I am saddened for his loss, but know his family/friends will find comfort in ALL their precious memories and love they shared with him!

Tom was a very patient man, who went the extra mile to make sure his photos and video sessions at the Ohio Department of Health were done right.  His dry wit, professionalism and overall good nature will be truly missed.  My sympathies to his family and friends.

I extend my deepest sympathies to all of Tom's loved ones.  I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news.  I loved Tom, and loved working with him!  He was such a nice, down-to-earth person who was always able to make me laugh!  He will be missed.....

My sympathy to Tom's family.  He was an ultimate professional and it was a pleasure to see him moving among the crowd taking fine pictures.  I was pleased to see him working at ODH after knowing his work at Riverside.  He leaves a major legacy with his photographs and, of course, with his family.

I never seen him as a young man but boy can I just say that Joe looks just like him!! I love this photo of him...you can see the passion for photography in his eyes. Rest In Peace Tom, you will be greatly MISSED by many!!

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing.  I worked with Tom, both at the Ohio Department of Health and at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  Over the years, and many jobs, Tom's pictures of my co-workers and me were always of outstanding quality.  He was a professional, sensitive, and dedicated, with a great soft sense of humor!  I will miss Tom.

Our deepest sympathies to Tom's wife, Judy, and his family and many, many friends. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Tom from 1973-1981 at the old Citizen-Journal. He was a great photographer and an even better friend. I always knew an assignment would turn out better than I had any right to expect when Tom and I teamed up. He could put people at ease and gather more information than any reporter, all while taking award-winning photos. Tom made working at the C-J fun. Our industry needs more people like Tom.

Press Credential Photos were just about 1 step above your drivers license picture, which is a sad commentary since we had to take each others photo and  were all professional photographers.....

My grandpa was the best man I know. He taught me everything I know about Photography. He gave me the courage and support I needed to get through tough times. He was always there if I had questions or if I just wanted to talk. He was not just my grandpa but he was the closest thing to a real father I had growing up. I miss him more than words can explain but I know he will be watching over me and guiding me to be the person he knew I could be. I love you Grandpa with all my heart!
